today I picked my new illustrated postcards set at the printer (pardon my English) I must say I am totally happy with the quality and the colors. It took almost 1 year to get this series done, I was looking for the right quotes and the matching symbols, to make them inspiring and suitable for many purposes. I am quite proud now lets see what you think…

hello everyone, a happy new year to you! 2012 will be again a year of big changes, who knows what will be in 1 year from now on…

My plans are to carry on like last year, but to go more into the handmade sector, so I am starting a silkscreen class in this month, I am going to print on totes and on kichen towls and whatever is coming up to my mind…

then I am editing a new series of postcards (the Christmas cards I made for December were very successful, even they were sold for only a few weeks). The new series for the whole year is very light and friendly, and has some nice and encouraging quotes or things you maybe want to say to people, , that´s why I called it ”quote Candy”, it is going to be continued. The cards are ready to spread on 22nd of January.

I will sell them on etsy in a pack of 20, and to selected shops in Berlin and Hamburg. For the case you might be interested to order them in a bigger amount for your shop, please just contact me for a wholesale price. Here is a preview:

I had some ambitious plans about a 2012 Vintage Camera Calender, but unfortunatelly I had not the time to finish it, as the illus are really time consuming. This way I can do that project for 2013.

What I have learned in the last 2 weeks is a lesson about patience-towards ourselves as well as towards others.

But at least I managed a little DIN A5 Animal calender, it is available in my etsy shop. It is a self-printable, which means you can buy the 300 dpi PDF documents, to print them yourself, and for really little money. Here are some of the pages:

back again and happy-but also a bit unhappy with some stuff

I am sorry but I could not log into my blog for about 3 weeks at least It had to do with some mixing up of passwords and emai adresses, but now thanks god I finally managed to log in and it took a load of my mind I can tell.

Sorry that there was no desktop calender this time, I guess now it is too late for that. But I will do something extra nice for December, I promise!

so here is one of the wrongly cut cards, you can judge yourself. Apart from the financial loss this could be a total disaster for my first steps in producing things, so let´s cross fingers and hope

what did I do lately? a lot, my mind is circulating around Christmas, I produced a series of 10 vintage style Christmas cards, each of them 1000 peaces. Yesterday was the big day to pick up 10 000 cards from the printer-imagine my disappointment when I saw that all of them where cut in the wrong way, so the right white border is visibly broader! Now I am in negotiation with the printer to correct this immediately, they took them all back but now they act like “oh it´s only a minimal mistake”-Monday there will be a decision. In any case I want this corrected, I hope I will not have to bare my claws and fangs, but if I must I will!

I guess every customer I would try to sell this card would see the fact of the to broad right border…

but around Christmas Cards there is also something to be very happy about, and this box, produced by Flow with my Christmas designs, is my dream come true, a really beautiful, perfect product:

unfortunately this product is not sold in Germany, where I live, but you can get it in Holland, for a very reasonable price: 8,95 Euros, it contains 10 beautiful Cards (2 different designs) one with Gold Glitter, the envelopes are matching in style and show a little squirrel inside. I am not advertising this because it´s my design, its just a product that is perfect for Christmas, also as a gift. Along with my Christmas box Flow sells 3 other designed boxes, one of them by Annelinde Tempelmann, with whom I have made the Christmas Stamps for the Dutch post this year.
